Halekulani Okinawa

1967-1 Nakama, Onna, Kunigami District, Okinawa 904-0401, Japan

Completed

2019

Belt Collins Hawaii provided the landscape and pool/waterfeature design work for the new Halekulani Okinawa Hotel and Resort, located in Onna Village, Okinawa, Japan.  The architectural style is reminiscent of the Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu, but with a distinct Okinawan flare. The resort boasts two adults-only swimming pools, a children's pool and splash pad play area, as well as a signature Orchid Pool similar to that in Honolulu.  The pools and water features were designed to visually connect the guest with the ocean.

As one enters the elevated main lobby, a series of infinity edged water features visually leads to the infinity edged Orchid pool and adult pool to the ocean. The club resort’s infinity edge pool is set up on the edge of the hilltop overlooking the ocean and has tremendous sunset views.
